As I have written before, measurement systems based on a host of discrete biometrics is superficially attractive but fatally flawed.
We can and should promulgate measurement systems more clearly linked to real quality that impacts the outcomes of the patients served. Patient reported outcome measures on Access, Continuity, Comprehensiveness and Coordination better identify real quality and better predict important outcomes.
